CBD BEEC practice is focused on provision of advice for upcoming BEEC or Building Energy Efficiency Certificate and NABERS certification for different types of commercial buildings. CBD BEEC Services
BEEC
Building Energy Efficiency Certificate or BEEC is a certificate to demonstrates the energy efficiency performance of an office building. A valid BEEC must be registered to the government online registry after 1st November 2011 to allow a building to advertise for lease or purchase in the market. We provide advice regarding the upcoming BEEC for office buildings as being mandated by the CBD scheme.

NABERS
NABERS or National Australian Built Environment Rating System is a performance based tool to assess the sustainability rating of existing buildings in different areas based on the operational data from an occupied building. A NABERS energy for offices base or whole building certificate is the main component of a BEEC.

BASIX
BASIX or Building Sustainability Index is a mandatory sustainability scheme by the NSW Department of Planning for residential developments in New South Whales. All new residential dwellings and certain alterations and additions are required to lodge a valid BASIX certificate as one of the documents required during the Development Application process.

BCA Section J
BCA Section J addresses the energy efficiency requirements of the Building Code of Australia for class 2 to 9 BCA buildings. Any building referred to in the BCA Section J must submit a comprehensive BCA Section J compliance report at the Construction Certificate stage to satisfy the requirements of national and local construction regulations.

NatHERS
NatHERS or National House Energy Rating Scheme is a national government regulatory framework in Australia which provides a set of standards for functionality of residential building thermal comfort assessment computer software packages. NatHERS also sets the star rating limits and certification, assessment and quality assurance procedures for accredited assessors and associated organizations.
