BEEC Tenancy Lighting Assessment
Assessment of energy efficiency performance of the existing tenancy lighting system is another component of the BEEC that must be presented to the future tenants or purchasers. This BEEC components assesses the tenancy lighting and establishes a benchmark that is used for further reference or potential improvements. The tenancy lighting assessment will be undertaken with the NABERS assessment of the BEEC certification.
During the transition period which is between 1st November 2010 to 1st November 2011 this component of the BEEC is not required and only the NABERS energy rating will be used as a whole BEEC certificate. No more details about the specifications of the tenancy lighting is currently published. More information is expected to be released by inception of the national training program to train CBD Assessors. We will update this page when more is known about this component of the BEEC.
