BEEC Components
Each Building Energy Efficiency Certificate or BEEC has three components as follow;
- A NABERS energy rating for offices base or whole building which must be current and valid at the time of registration.
- An assessment of the energy efficiency performance of the tenancy lighting in the area of the building that the BEEC references.
- Generalised BEEC Energy Efficiency Guidelines which aims to improve the awareness of tenants and purchasers with regard to energy efficiency practices in an office building.
During the transitional period of the CBD scheme from 1st November 2010 to 1st November 2011 only the NAEBRS rating component of the BEEC is required. More information about each component is provided in relevant pages.
